Wine Advocate-Parker :
The top of the range in red is the 2014 La Creu Alta, mostly old-vine Cariñena with 30% Garnacha and 20% Syrah from eight different vineyards, two of them in La Vilella Baixa and the rest in La Vilella Alta. It fermented in concrete vats with selected yeasts and matured in new French oak barrels for 16 months, then it was blended and kept in concrete for three months until bottling. It's certainly oakier and more concentrated than the rest of the reds, in a way that makes it a little more aggressive. The palate is full-bodied with abundant, grainy and dusty tannins. 2,290 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2016.
