Wine Advocate-Parker :
I hadn't tasted the white for a while. The 2016 Artigas Blanc is a blend of the local white grapes, Garnacha (or Garnatxa in Catalán) Blanca, Cariñena Blanca, Pedro Ximénez and Macabeo, 50% from their own vineyards and the rest purchased from growers in La Vilella Alta, Porrera Torroja and La Vilella Baixa, all organically farmed. The must was left to settle for 32 hours and then fermented in barriques, foudres, stainless steel and concrete vats with selected yeasts. It was kept in contact with the lees for eight months but didn't go through malolactic fermentation. It's subtle and fruit-driven, clean, modern and fresh, reflecting a good vintage for whites. The palate is light to medium-bodied, with some chalky austerity. 11,430 bottles were filled in July 2017.
