E. Guigal : Lieu-dit Saint-Joseph - Ancien Domaine Jean-Louis GRIPPAT 2017 - Rouge
Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2017 Saint-Joseph Lieu-Dit Saint-Joseph wasn't yet bottled when I visited last summer, but it should be in bottle by now. It's a bit smokier, with more pronounced oak than the 2016 (it's matured in 100% new French oak), and also a bit jammier and less complex, with more of the focus on cassis and blackberry fruit. It's still full-bodied, rich and velvety, a delicious drink for consuming over the next decade, and possibly longer.
