Wine Advocate-Parker : The 2016 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Charmes comes from 75-year-old vines that yielded just half the normal production due to frost. It has a broody nose, dark berry fruit, wilted rose petals and cold stone aromas, a little curmudgeonly at the moment. The palate is structured and quite masculine for this vineyard, but there is plenty of freshness and tension here, a classic Burgundy Pinot Noir with a sense of energy on the curt finish. I suspect this will flesh out with bottle age. One to watch.
