Wine Advocate-Parker : The 2017 Mercurey 1er Cru Les Cinq opens in the glass with notes of spices, dark chocolate, cherries and raspberries. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, with good concentration, succulent acids and fine tannins. As usual, it's matured in new barrels, and while the oak is nicely integrated, I'm still inclined to think that the wine would be more interesting if some used wood were introduced.
