Wine Advocate-Parker : An inky colored red, the 2014 Vacqueyras Vieilles Vignes is made from 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah aged 20 months in a combination of foudre and barrel. It offers lots of crushed violets, pepper, leather and plum-scented fruit in a fresh, focused style. It shows a touch of firm tannin (it included 50% whole cluster), but I suspect it will come together nicely in bottle. Drink it through 2022.
