Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2014 vintage was difficult for the flatter, more water retentive soils in Crozes Hermitage, yet both releases from Caroline Frey and her team are solid wines. Coming from a higher elevation, granite-influenced terroir (which handles rainy vintages better), the 2014 Crozes Hermitage Domaine de Roure bucks the vintage stereotype and packs plenty of fruit and tannic grip. Blackcurrants, graphite, scorched earth and sweet oak all flow to medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated 2014 that has sweet tannin and a supple finish. Give bottles 2-3 years and drink over the following decade. It's a seriously good Crozes Hermitage worth seeking out.
